How Do I Activate My Free Hulu With Spotify

Spotify Premium is already one of the best music streaming subscriptions and now it’s getting even better. Starting today, new Spotify Premium subscribers can get Hulu’s ad-supported tier for free. That plan is normally $5.99 per month, making your $9.99 Spotify Premium subscription a hella good value.

It's hard to keep track of all the streaming services available today, but paying for two of them just got a lot easier. As The Verge reports, a free Hulu plan now comes with a Spotify Premium. After bundling Hulu's ad-supported plan with Spotify Premium for an extra $3 per month, the streaming giant is going a step further. For a limited time, Spotify will offer that Hulu plan for free. To activate your free Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu, you will need to do it through the My Verizon app. Once you're in the app. Then tap on Add-ons.

To sign up, head on over to the Spotify offer page, which will walk you through the process. Once your account is active, make sure you go into your account settings and activate Hulu on the Your Services page. If you’re already a Spotify+Hulu subscriber, your billing will be changed to the new $9.99 price, from the $12.99 prior pricing.

On Tuesday, Spotify and Hulu announced a limited time Premium Bundle that allows Spotify users to get a free subscription to Hulu's ad-supported plan. The plan is available to both new. In addition to offering Hulu for free, Spotify is offering all new Premium account subscribers 30 free days of music and TV. Finally, if you have a Hulu ad-supported plan but currently do not have.

If you have a Hulu account but want to take advantage of this offer, you can. Just sign up, then cancel your billing on Hulu and swap it to Spotify. You’ll only be able to do it if you’re on a basic, ad-supported Hulu account with no added extras.

Current Spotify Premium members can’t reap the benefits, however

Editor’s Note: Even though Spotify claims you must be a new Spotify Premium subscriber, multiple sources, including writers at KnowTechie, have been able to sign up for Hulu using the link provided.

Unfortunately, if you’ve previously subscribed to Spotify Premium, are a current subscriber or have previously had a free trial that ran out, you’re out of luck for the offer. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you from setting up a new Spotify account on a new email…

You must be new to Spotify Premium. If you currently subscribe, or have subscribed previously, to either Spotify Premium or the Spotify Unlimited service or have taken a trial or introductory offer previously, you are ineligible for this offer.

You’re also ineligible if you’re on a Family plan or a Student one. Then again, I don’t know why you’d want to change if you’re on a Student plan, you get Spotify Premium, Hulu’s ad-supported tier and Showtime for $4.99 a month.

Anyone else getting the feeling that this bundling of streaming services is a little too close to the bundled cable services that we cord cut to avoid? I guess as long as the pricing doesn’t skyrocket it’s not quite the same, and it’s still separate companies.

Oh, Spotify subscribers outside of the USA – sorry, you’re unable to take advantage of this deal either. Spotify says it’ll run the promotion until June 10, or until supplies last.
